The Innisfail and District Historical Village opened in 1972, and began preserving and housing the history of the Innisfail district.

“The Innisfail and District Historical Village originated in 1970 with the purpose of preserving and housing the history of the Innisfail district. The Village is made up of eighteen buildings, displayed on 2 acres of land. These are furnished to interpret the history of the area up to the 1930s. There is a large display of 15000+ artifacts, vehicles, and farm machines, a day-use picnic area, and an old-fashioned ice cream parlour. The Village is open seasonally for tours from May Long Weekend to September Long Weekend but hosts events throughout the winter months. Our Tea Room and History room are also available for rent year-round for meetings, special events, and family gatherings.”
