Frequently Asked Questions
Our open season starts around the May-long weekend and goes until around the Labour Day weekend in September.Â
During our open season, our open hours are:
Tuesday – Saturday: 10:00 – 5:00
Sunday: 12:00 – 5:00
Mondays we are closed.
The Friday Teas are held every Friday of the month from 1:00 – 3:00 PM starting in May and ending in August.
Fee: $5.00/person
If you have an item or several items you wish to donate to the Historical Village, please give us a phone call or send us a message to discuss the items and arrange an appointment to meet with the curator if your items sound like they may fit into our collection. Please indicate:
- Your name and phone number
- The items which you wish to donate
- What you know about the item(s) you wish to donate and any historical significance they have to the area or period between 1850s to 1930s.
Please note that we may find that your item(s) does not fit into our current collection and we always reserve the right to indicate as such.
We are currently looking for specific and limited furnishing, dishes and household items, and clothing items from the late 1800s and early 1900s.
Due to limited space and redundancy in our collection, we will NOT be accepting the following items:
- Enclyclopedias
- Taxidermy
- Furniture from 1930s to present day
- Singer Sewing machines
- Electronics
- Pump organs
- Anything from later than 1930
Please note that we may find that your item(s) does not fit into our current collection and we always reserve the right to indicate as such.
